John Rae
Director
John Rae is an experienced specialist in cathodic protection and corrosion control. Since founding the company in 2002, John has played a central role in its growth and in developing its range of specialist engineering services and survey equipment.
John has extensive practical experience in the inspection, testing, commissioning and maintenance of cathodic protection systems for pipelines and other buried or submerged assets. His expertise covers CIPS, DCVG and ACVG surveys, pipeline current mapping, interference testing, fault investigation and the evaluation of cathodic protection system performance.
Combining field experience with a practical and solutions-focused approach, John works closely with clients to understand their assets, identify corrosion risks and provide effective, tailored recommendations. He is also heavily involved in the development and technical support of R&R Corrosion’s specialist equipment, including the NEXUS CIPS datalogging system and Pulsar GPS current interrupters.
As a professional member of the Institute of Corrosion, John is committed to maintaining high technical standards and supporting the continued development of cathodic protection engineering. His leadership, industry knowledge and hands-on experience help R&R Corrosion deliver dependable corrosion-control services to clients across the oil and gas, water, utilities and infrastructure sectors.
Barry Lamb CEng, BEng (Hons), MICorr
Senior Corrosion Engineer
Barry Lamb brings extensive technical knowledge and practical experience to the assessment, design and management of cathodic protection systems for pipelines and other buried or submerged assets.
Barry is involved in cathodic protection design, commissioning, performance assessment, fault investigation and the interpretation of detailed survey data. His experience includes close interval potential surveys, voltage gradient surveys, pipeline current mapping, interference testing and the evaluation of existing corrosion-control systems.
As a Chartered Engineer and professional member of the Institute of Corrosion, Barry combines recognised engineering competence with a practical, solutions-focused approach. He works closely with clients and field engineers to identify corrosion risks, resolve complex technical problems and develop effective solutions tailored to each asset.
Barry also supports R&R Corrosion’s commitment to technical quality, professional development and the delivery of reliable corrosion-control services across the oil and gas, water, utilities and infrastructure sectors.
