R&R Corrosion provides specialist cathodic protection design and consultancy services tailored to individual assets, operating conditions and project requirements. Our experienced corrosion engineers support new installations, modifications, upgrades and life-extension projects for pipelines, tanks, marine structures and other buried or immersed metallic assets.
Support is available throughout the project lifecycle, from initial feasibility and site surveys through to detailed design, installation, commissioning and long-term monitoring. Services include sacrificial-anode and impressed-current system design, assessment of existing systems and coating condition, electrical interaction assessments, material selection and the preparation of engineering calculations, drawings and specifications.

Overline Surveys
R&R Corrosion provides specialist Close Interval Potential Surveys (CIPS) to assess cathodic protection performance and help identify areas of concern along buried, submerged and inaccessible pipeline sections. Using its purpose-developed NEXUS data-logging system and PULSAR GPS-synchronised current interrupters, R&R can accurately collect and analyse pipeline potential and positional information along the survey route.
CIPS can be supported by a range of complementary survey techniques, including Alternating Current Voltage Gradient (ACVG), Direct Current Voltage Gradient (DCVG), Depth of Cover surveys and specialist inshore trailing-wire and river-crossing surveys. Together, these techniques can provide a more complete understanding of cathodic protection performance, coating condition, pipeline position and areas requiring further investigation.
Survey data is analysed by R&R Corrosion’s experienced engineers, with detailed reporting identifying anomalies and providing practical recommendations for further investigation or remedial work. This integrated approach combines specialist equipment, field surveys, engineering analysis and reporting to support informed pipeline integrity decisions.

Specialist Surveys
R&R Corrosion provides a range of specialist surveys, testing and monitoring services to assess cathodic protection performance, investigate system faults and identify electrical conditions that could affect the integrity of pipelines and other metallic assets.
Services include current injection and drain surveys, isolation-joint and insulating-flange testing, third-party interaction testing, stray-current surveys and specialist data logging and analysis. R&R Corrosion can also use drone-assisted surveys to support pipeline inspection and cathodic protection activities in remote, hazardous or difficult-to-access locations.
Using specialist equipment including R&R Corrosion’s NEXUS data-logging system and PULSAR GPS-synchronised current interrupters, measurements can be collected, correlated and analysed by experienced corrosion engineers. Findings are presented through detailed technical reporting, helping clients identify areas of concern, investigate interference and system performance, and determine appropriate maintenance, mitigation or further investigation.

Installation services
R&R Corrosion can specify and supply cathodic protection materials for the installation, monitoring, maintenance and repair of both impressed current and sacrificial anode systems. Equipment can be selected to suit individual assets, operating environments and project requirements, with materials also available as part of a complete turnkey project package.
Alongside material supply, R&R provides installation and supervision, system commissioning and testing, cathodic protection training and specialist field services including pin brazing. A range of inspection and testing services is also available to assess pipeline condition, coatings, electrical connections and associated equipment.
These capabilities include pipeline thickness testing, electrical resistance surveys, Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), coating assessment, and hardness and copper penetration testing. Routine Monitoring / Maintenance & Repair
R&R Corrosion provides periodic cathodic protection surveys to assess the ongoing condition and performance of CP systems throughout their operational life. Planned inspections and testing help confirm that protected assets continue to meet the required protection criteria, while identifying deterioration, developing faults or changes in system performance before they increase the risk of corrosion.
Periodic survey programmes can incorporate remote monitoring system testing and repair, electrical resistance probe testing, and proactive or reactive maintenance. R&R can also provide ground clearance and access services where vegetation, debris or changing site conditions restrict access to cathodic protection equipment and monitoring locations.
Where standard survey methods do not fully address a project or asset requirement, R&R Corrosion can develop customised surveys combining appropriate testing, monitoring and analysis techniques. Results can be compared with previous surveys and historical performance to identify trends, support maintenance planning, resolve faults and help maintain the long-term integrity of protected assets.
